A while back people were talking about getting this book and how difficult it was to track down a copy.
If you go to
ABC Books there is a copy for $24.20 US.

Hi Phl
It was member Allan B from Queensland.
I hope he sees your details, as I know that he was after it.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Cheers
Stephen

It's actually ABE books (but the link is OK). I have used them in the past, shipping USA to Oz is slow, BUT ....
The seller is in
Bendigo. Notwithstanding the usual deal on not buying direct, I would suggest Allan try and contact them direct for this if he is still interested.

Thanks Phil, Stephen and Zippo.
I did eventually track down a copy and bought it.
Heavy reading and does raise some questions.
And yes, the delivery from USA was very slow!

Hi Allan
Did you get that copy of the book by Reg Simpson from the UK.
It was a great read and tells a story not often heard from other books.
I have now started to privately communicate with Reg, giving him links to my
blogs, and like he has old me, it brings back many memories of his days when he was posted at
Maralinga with the RAF.
Cheers
Stephen

Yes Stephen, I did get Reg Simpson's book too.
I think that I have now read just about everything published about Maralinga/Emu and
Woomera.
There have been some very comprehensive books about
Woomera, more so than
Maralinga whose books focus more on the cleanup than the trials.

Hi Allan
I have had a quick look on a fantastic book about
Woomera. It is a very big book and if available, very expensive. The last time I looked, there was one out of the USA, but
well over $300 US.
The book is titled "Fire Across the Deset", so if you can find any at a reasonable price, please let me know.
I have checked eBay, but nothing there at the moment.
Cheers
Stephen

Also "Woomera" by Ivan Southall.
I am emailing you.

Stephen,
I purchased a copy of "Fire Across the Desert" from the Museum at
Woomera Village about 15 years ago, so it might be worth contacting them on the off chance they still have them in stock. It is a big book - my copy has 575 pages in it.
I don't recall how much I paid at the time, but I suspect it was <$50.00. Looks like it was a good investment!
Cheers,
Roger.
