Colorado 2.8l engine?

The Good, Bad, And ugly scenarios with these engines,From the owners 'ive spoken to there all good"!,.. But that's always the norm with everything... can anyone give some fairdinkum info on these motors?

That 2.8 vm motor has been in Jeeps for over 10 years. As far as I know the latest incarnation (2010) has a higher pressure rail and different injectors than the earlier ones giving it a fair whack more torque. The Colorado is tuned for more power than Jeeps with the same motor. Time will tell if it affects reliability. My son's 2006 Cherokee with the earlier setup has been fine.

Make sure that the Fuel filters are changed at the specified intervals …. both of them !
