Is there 240 volts getting to the fridge?

Have you swapped the cord for another one just to make sure it's not a broken wire in the cord. Wouldn't be the first time this has happened.

Yep, 9 times out of 10 if an Engel has a problem it will be in the cord/s. I've been using Engels for the past 25 years and have only ever had issues with plugs/cords....not the fridges themselves.

same as roachie on the yorke peninsula, both of my engels, a little one and the medium size are over 35 years old, cords only problem and i'm using the medium 40litre one as a freezer at the moment due to the home freezer gone cactus.
a previous post had Waeco as another term for warm beer. stick with the engel.
amen.
