John, so jealous of your upcoming adventures! Sounds like a fantastic trip. We will have to wait another 15 years to be away that long, although we have been heading north the last 4 years, for 4 or 5 weeks at a time and I have nearly used up all of my long service leave! I do enjoy the packing - at first - and then towards the end I am over it. And cleaning the house, and leaving the pets behind is really hard. Once we are on the road though it is so exciting for all the reasons you have mentioned and also, Life is Too Short not too!! Safe travels.....
