Hi, we have just bought a Jayco
Penguin (NOT off road) to use with our Patrol. Are the roads too corrugated or rough for us to do this trip. We do not want to do major repairs when we return
home. Thanks

Depends if you take the dirt roads or stick to bitumen. Some of the dirt roads would kill it.

Raelene
Depends on the way you go.
If you get on a heavily corrugated road you will struggle.
The Off Road Jayco are only marginally better in the rough stuff.
Cheers

Stick to the sealed roads Raelene and you will be fine.

Sealed roads the whole way, you won't have any issues at all. There are dirt roads too obviously if you want to take that route, most aren't too bad so should be fine for side trips.

Meant to post a comment last week........must have had a senior moment?
When looking at the map posted by Motherhen, it appears, and I didn't
check the mileage, that it would be the almost the same distance to return
home via
Tennant Creek, The Alice and
Port Augusta. You haven't stated your intentions for the return trip, and I thought this alternative route would add a different dimension to the trip.
Whatever you decide, have fun. Lots to see in the Isa too,
Bob
