G'day all
I bought the Colorado a few months ago and was told by the salesman that I could use an app too put a GPS on the 'monitor' in the car.
Can anyone tell me how to go about this?

Looks like you have to have the navigation (bringo) running on your smart phone and the cars monitor interfaces with it. And it will only work while you are in mobile phone range and your mobile phone is in "bluetooth" range of the car. Useless in the outback.
It reminds me of all the blurb with our smart TV. It says that you can control other devices. However those devices must be the same makers kit. A waste Luckily we don't want the smart stuff for that.
I hope that I am wrong and someone will come along and correct me.

Thanks vk1dx
My wife has a Samsung galaxy mini, so I'm presuming it's a smart phone.
We normally only use the GPS when we need to find our way around a town or city that we are not familiar with.
I was hoping to get the GPS off the windscreen and just have the rear camera monitor on the W'screen.

No worries. I am not smart phone savvy so I can't comment further. My mobile's battery is so flat they are digging bits up in China. We use a sat phone for remote areas.
I also detest stuff stuck on the windscreen that is in my way. Nor do I like things mounted on gizmos hanging off the dash hovering above the center console or loose in the cabin. We installed a VMS box with Ozi in the dash. It also has reverse camera. Like you we don't use street turn by turn navigation. Just the off road stuff.
Maybe a phone call to Holden head office and talk to the specialists there. Or find a Holden Colorado
forum.
Ya never know - if ya never ask.

Well, I saw the dealer and they said try Bringgo. They also said to look at the Holden web site.
I tried Bringgo and would you believe they are in a dispute with Telstra who have blocked Bringgo IP addresses.
I will now try the Holden site.
I have looked at the mirrorlink site, but can't make head nor tail of it.
Might have another look at it.
Technology...... no wonder I'm a paper and pencil guru.
