We are looking for somewhere that is about 2 hours from
Brisbane for this weekend. It would be ideal to have amenities for the ladies. We would like to get away from the mainstream van parks, the back of a country pub or a bush
camp site out of the ordinary would be ideal.Must take a dog.
Suggestions please.

You could try Neurum Creek. www.ncbr.com.au Privately owned
camp ground 15mins out of Woodford. Clean composting
toilets, hot showers. On site small
shop, but
IGA at Woodford is only 15mins.
Dog friendly & a 'BMX' track for the kids with bikes. Creek to sit by & swim in...
Cheers, Bryan

I'd recommend the Glasshouse Mountains
Camp Ground, it allows campfires etc but has facilities, lots to see and do around the area.

Yeah, Mt Mee / D'Aguilar National Park is a nice spot, with plenty of nice tracks to explore and sights like the big old logging mill site.
We stayed Neurem Ck, but Archer is possible more suited to a small van or camper.

Jondaryn Woolshed is a nice get away for a weekend, there's camping down by the creek, dogs and fires both allowed and
toilets and showers there also also. The powered sites are set up amongst the buildings, nowhere near the creek and not somewhere i'd personally choose to stay in myself, prefer the unpowered area where you are down by the creek.

There's also Leyburn to consider, the pub used to let you
camp out the back for free if you intended eating there one night (worth a call to see if that still happens), there's also a
free camp down the road from the pub a touch you can stay at also (Leyburn Reserve), just has a
toilet block there, no showers.
