Darian I'll piggy back onto your reply as the Thread to Annie's track report is now archived.
When we travelled the GRR & up to the
Mitchell Plateau the ABC Radio gave regular river depth and track access reports which we found invaluable. I presume nothing has changed? People say they don't have the internet to keep abreast of things but the good old ABC often comes to the rescue.
Cheers
Dunc

Ah you're right Rod I hadn't noted that the archived one was that old. Thought it was Anne's recent report. My comments though are still relevant regarding the ABC's regular reports.

A report
here Robert. According to the Shire of West
Kimberley website access roads to Bells
Gorge, Lennard
Gorge and some stations are still closed.

Hi MH
One of the
Kalumburu Elders has informed me that the
grader is on the road at the moment repairing a few washouts and bad spots.

Thanks Marc; it is showing as open now as far as the
Mitchell Falls turnoff. When we went to
Kalumburu in 2008 the road was open and being graded from the turnoff north. Several detours around washouts at the time, and when we came back a few days later, the basic grading was almost finished which did make a difference to our rate of travel, which was still slow and cautious while towing.
Sounds like the access to
Kalumburu will be early this year :)
