Hi folks, I had to get a new touch screen for laptop to operate oziexplorer. Have down loaded the driver and screen all set up. Screen functions well with oziexplorer, except for one thing. When I close the lid of the laptop everything shuts down. The touchscreen should stay on when the laptop lid is closed on so it can be operated remotely from the laptop. Laptop is an Acer Aspire 5750. I was under the impression that when the driver is downloaded that when screen operated remotely a default mechanism would prevent the remote screen from turning off when closing the laptop.
I have gone through the settings trying everything I can think of in preventing the touchscreen from turning off when the laptop is closed up but no success. I would appreciate ideas on how to correct this.
Cheers, Nugget

In the display /screen options a decent lappy has an option that says something like When lid is closed

A screen stays on

B computer goes to sleep

C shuts down

Many laptops will shutdown or hibernate or go into sleep mode or Do Nothing when the lid is closed. This is a setting within the Operating System.

You want it to Do Nothing when the lid is closed (ie: stay on)

In Windows this is set in Power Options.

Hope this helps
