I want one of these!
You could take some excellent 4wd action shot with this following you over that obstacle or up that
hill.

Oh this is not an ad or anything just something I saw today and thought I would share. Wish I had invented it though. Just released for pre order from the USA for about 500 USD. A really cleaver invention.

That's unreal, technology is just going in leaps n bounds.. Doesn't seem that long ago it was just black n white TVs with 3 channels to choose from.. How many gadgets do we need these days... Sometimes miss the simple days.. And simple things... Hey I'm not even that old really...Thanks for sharing that.. Cheers

I would love to but they are pre order for delivery next year - suspect it is a little based on crowd funding. But I reckon they will sell heaps, do not know how long before someone else comes out with one. Still reckon I may have to order one, I would like to use it to video my open water swimming technique, 4wd trips, cycling, running or just about anything else.
I will get Adele to investigate anyway but the ship date is a way off.

Open Water is it. Meet a still water ref. I think I want one as
well. Have to talk to the war office first though, Errol

Just reading the specs on it and it is always going to be focused on where the wrist tracker is, so it really doesn't have any flexibility to pan around. But great technology.

The only problem is that they don't dodge trees so Ok for desert trips, but not too good for
Cape York.

You are right but if you look at the specs you can keep it within 1.75 m above and around the sensor, so if you set it right and do not corner to fast it could still do a fairly good job. They also reckon is it good to 40km/h.

Was on a 4WD trip with a fellow recently who had something like that.
Have a look at what he did with it in

The Phantom range is great. The latest being the Phantom 3 which can have 4k camera aboard and fly 2kms from the operator, transmitting streaming video to the operator.
Look to

That one is good but pricey in comparison. Seems like this will be the norm next year - they will need detectors so they do not all run into each other as we perform or daily lives for the world to see.

And just think, we wouldn't have any of this technology if it wasn't for that saucer that crashed at Roswell in 1947.

great for kayaking - you could send it ahead to
check out conditions. You'd have to bring it in and playback, of course but useful.
