Members file swap

Hi William,

I could not find the Members File Swap a couple of months ago. This is the answer I got from David Martin........

"We have discontinued the file swap system. We instead use the new file upload functions that work in the image/files tabs on the various areas of the site, so blogs, forum, places etc all support file attachments these days."

So there is no longer one central place for the File Swap. Also, as far as I can determine, all the files that once resided there are no longer accessible.

I regret that the File Swap feature is no longer available. It was a useful resource of good ideas and had an advantage over 'searching' the Forum where you were likely to get embroiled in argument over the 'correct' answer. It was relatively easy to scan through the grab-bag of contents in the File Swap and often likely to spot other good ideas at the same time. A further regret is that the multitude of contributions already in the file seem now to be lost forever.
Member contributions appropriate to File Swap do not sit easy in 'Blogs' among discourses of the like of camping experiences and they cannot be placed in 'Articles' without submission and approval of site administration.

Unless the inclusion of the File Swap feature causes administrative problems I would hope that David may reconsider its removal.
