Chas, I would strongly advise against Kellys. On a trip to the KImberley a few years ago I had a friend who had 6 punctures by the time angot to Alice Springs. He chnaged to BFGs and then had no problem. I only use BFG All Terrain on my GU patrol and they are nice and quiet around town.

I agree totally, dont get Kellys. It seemed my brother kept asking me to come 4wding
and every time I would have to help him change his tyre because he would have a flat.

Soon takes the fun out having to repair tyres all the time.

Hi Chas,

You must drive pretty hard if your tyres lasted only 20K

I have so far done 25K on my STR, of which only about 1000 is dirt driving / 4wd fun. They would not yet be 30% worn.

Have herd of a fue orignal tyres that wear fast. they have been driven fairly hard but not overly. Wife's has 17,000km and are wearing reasonable.

Probably a waste of time seeing as you didnt like the Bridgestones but good old Desert Duellers give good grip, wear well and are well priced.Done 10000kms off road last year and not one puncture.

Hi Chas,

I have been running Bridgestone dueler A/T's 265/70/R16's on my Navara for a while now and couldn't be happier, doing Approx 70% road and 30% dirt they are a good allround tyre!!
