Tait
I have an FJ45 and will be taking an outboard motor on a long trip. Has anyone got any special ways of carrying/attaching one on to the outside of an FJ45. I have a roof rack (where the tinny will be) but would rather not have the weight up there.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Hi Tait, have alook at the photos of my outboard mount bracket I have on the back of my GU Patrol. Its bolted to the right hand side of the dual wheel carrier. It may give you some ideas FWIW.

I take it it's a Troopcarrier and not a Tray back. In the case of a Troopie get a wheel carrier off a SWB and put on the back and hang the OB on that. Or a swing away tyre carrier of some sort and do the same.

I saw someone with a bracket that came out of the tow hitch with the outboard on that. Not sure if it was an engineered product or a
home handyman job but it did look
well made. Don't know what the cons are for such a bracket.
