Has anyone done the road that runs along the railwayline from condobolin to ivanhoe to menindee and broken hill. I'm planning on heading that way over easter and keen to find out a bit more about the conditions.
cheers,

All outback roads can be fine one day and closed the next if it rains Jono. In that area most are hard clay and good when dry. They become skating rinks when wet. Therefore you should find a website which will give you CURRENT conditions - that's what's important. Enjoy your trip.

Do a site search for the general area on this site...go On The Road and then when it opens click on Road conditions and follow the hyperlinks.

Last June long weekend (2003) this road was corrugated, potholed & rough but not unused quite a few trucks and vans...all traveling at respectable speed which I found strange..

Jono we have done the trip that way a few times and is quite scenic drive.
If its same way we have done through roto etc theres a nice walk up to a look out and gives you a good veiw over the area.
The times we have been trough there it was a good run.

all the best
Eric
