Hi all there seems to have been a bit of a rush of new members lately so not to miss out I joined up after sitting on the side for a while. My (son's actualy) home computer has died but should get it back before easter an will try to put rig pic on then.
P.S I am located in Wollongong area NSW.

Athol.

Its a pity the forum type is the way it is, or more people would probably be here as well.

Its certainly not the easiest forum software to navigate, use, or view, and lots of other forum software for free, which could make it easier to use.

Sorry that you feel that way, you must be the only one. I, as a girl and blonde as well, have no trouble. This particular post is to welcome a new member - might I suggest that you put your own new post up with this view.
Welcome aboard and safe travels.

I dare say Im not the only one, and to say i must be, would be a little presumptous, but I can say I have spoken with >20 people who dont come here because of the way the forum is layed out.

And Baz, glad to see youve "managed" ;-)

But, we can now go back on topic,

And welcome the newbie.

The only thing that makes the forum a little hard to follow compared to other free software versions, is that you dont have a list of topics, and threads within them, which are marked as new, sticky, replied, etc, and if you dont have follow up marked, then you have to scan through and look at each topic, to see if its been replied to, compared to seeing a whole page.

And Baz,
if you search yahoo for email groups, or google for groups, you will find lots and lots of informative [and not so 8-)] groups for your needs, the forum you find most helpful isnt always what someone esle will find useful, but to join here and there for a few days, and delete membership if they are no good, is the joys of the net.

I too just find my way around these computer things but from what I have seen of other sites this IS the best or I would not have joined. I have been looking and asking/responding to the occasional topic for over 10 months and feel it is time to put something back into the site.
And if I may ask the question go-offroad, If you dont like it why are you even here ?

Hope I'm not being to presumtous.

the newbie Athol

The "best" meaning best for you Athol? or best on the net you were presuming ;-)

You may ask why Im here, and, it is to post my experiences, opinions, thoughts, and respects on suitable topics, and just because I may not think the software being used is the "best", Im sure you will agree, Im still able to use it if I wish ;-)

Can you build a better mouse trap....;-)

If we may be permitted our 2 bob's worth - without prolonging the welcome too long. We also have just joined. The principal reason is the good quality, well-intentioned, practical advice that is available here.
