Kilcowera Station Stay
And for a change you will also find various
places like
mine - Station Stays! Great alternatives to camping on the side of the road and caravan parks. Staying on somebody's place enables you to interact with your hosts and discover much more about the country side that you drive through. Here at Kilcowera we have a great information pack that each guest is given on arrival complete with mud maps so you can cruise around on a self drive tour of the place.

Finally heading your way, probably from Thargominda, then
Hungerford &
Bourke - any word on road conditions as we heard there has been lots of rain around
Bourke.

You will enjoy your stay. We stayed a couple of days in 2013 & were made to feel very welcome. We did the self drive tour out to the back paddocks & had a great day.

We have stayed a few times and enjoyed ourselves. Camping on
the lagoon is very pleasant with the camps spaced
well apart. Firewood supplied and a few yabbies if the season is right. A great number of bird species to be seen for those interested.
Cheers,
Mike and Jane
