Hoping to travel through here end of June. Officially the road is open but I am wondering what 8 Mile creek is like, as previous threads a couple of years ago had it impassable at the end of May. Any reports would be great

Hi Scott,
We did the trek from Dunbar to just south of Musgrave via the Dixie Rd a week ago and had no issues at all. The road is in pretty good condition. A few ups and downs as you reach the last section before Musgrave.

Cheers,PeteS

Hi Scott,
We camped back from Dunbar at Staaten River. It took us about 6 hours taking it nice and slow. Road is in good condition with only a few short scratchy sections. It's just a bit up and down near the final part of the Musgrave end. It's well signposted considering.

Cheers,
PeteS
