G'day all,
I'm heading up to eildon for a couple of nights over easter and wasn'y sure if there was any bushcamping around the area. I'm guessing being easter most of the main campsites will be pretty packed. Does anyone know if there are many good spots to camp away from the main campgrounds?
If all else fails I was thinking O'tooles flat camping ground night be OK, nice location, no facilities so hopefully not as many people, or am I completely wrong?
Any help would be greatly apppreciated.
Cheers,
Justin

I might even see you up there.
I'll be the bloke that looks lost in a 60 series with a big dent in the drivers door.

Justin, It's going to be busy everwhere around Eilon but you should find a spot on the Big river between the lake & Enoch Point. All the spots up the Goulburn river from Jamieson are usually packed. Other spots to try are Granny's flat & Wrens flat on the Jamieson river. Also a few good camps 5 KM up the Howqua from the lake as well.
We locals mostly stay home at easter as it's a madhouse camping around here.
Have fun, Craig.................

Thanks Craig,
I'll try and get there as early as I can and scope out the places you suggest. If thats a no go I'll just keep driving until I find a nice flat patch of ground.
Cheers,
Justin
