I will start by saying I am not a big bird watcher. However when we went away up north for 3 months, the only thing we wished we had was a good bird book. I'm one of these anal people who research everything to the enth degree, and found the Simpson and Day Field guide to birds one of the most comprehensive I have seen. It is full of great drawings and information.
One feature I do like is the tough plastic cover.
