Has anyone travelled this road from
Hughenden to The Lynd recently? The Qld govt roads website says open, but caution as some flood damage. Just wondering if it would be OK to take our 22 ft Off Road caravan along that route - would appreciate any advice.

There's only about 100 kms of gravel left between
Hughenden and the Lynd, in about 8-10 sections.
When we went up & back at
Easter, the gravel north from Ethridge
Shire boundary had recently been graded and was in excellent condition. Few corrugations south of there. Think the worst were just south of Poison Ck.
Saw a couple 'vans going north........you shouldn't have any trouble, driving to conditions.

Check out Thread 117513. I posted some photos at Whitecliffs
Gorge Creek, not far from one of the turn offs to Porcupine
Gorge N/P.
Would be a good spot to
camp the night, with ample room to turn around with your rig, and clean gravel surface.
