Roper Bar road to boorooloola

Has anyone done the road this year? Thinking of doing this trip from roper south in July, anyone know the state of the road? Have a 4wd ute with canopy so not towing anything. Thanks

10,000 vehicles probably this year already...and some. It will vary from good dirt to corrogated badly, any year. Let some air out of your hoops, drive to the variable conditions and just go, enjoy.

Not this year , late last year and the year before , first reply is right , just go and enjoy the bumps, corrugated , smooth in sections , its very doable.

Did it last month. The Northern Territory side was a bit ordinary but the Qld side was good. The grader was on the NT side so might be better now. We towed a van as did the friends with us. As usual just need to slow down. Very little water on the road compared to previous times travelled. Worst road was into Lorella Springs.
Everyday is a holiday

We came up from Cape Crawford via Lorella Springs about three weeks ago.The road had just been graded and was in great shape. From Cape Crawford to Lorella there were a few sections of corrugations but from the Lost City to Roper Bar it was perfect.
