G'day Allan

Populist politics with just enough of an edge to lead to the opinion that it could be a good idea.

The evidence must already be sitting in the data base of whatever government department is responsible for regulating safety and design faults, but I reckon the automotive lobby groups will trump the Queensland government's initiative, and your minister is not going to be around long enough to bring lemon laws to fruition.

There, I've taken your bait (and I certainly held back where Fiat-Chrysler are concerned).

Cheers

G'day Allan

I was a bit too cryptic.

I thought maybe you were trying to stir up a list of lemons; and Greg is correct - I was partly plagiarizing the Jeep "Don't hold back" commercial, and saying that when I can came to purchase a new vehicle, a Jeep was never under consideration.

But . . . I do think that politicians are prone to latch onto issues as a distraction from what really needs to be done. But that's not for this forum.

Regards
John

There were 3 cars in the article, a Jeep, an Alpha Romeo and a Nissan.

I must admit it would have been funny if there were 3 Jeeps.

Far too much time on the net rather than the road.
