Hi All,
I have just bought an old Primus 3 way fridge. By the measurements it is about 35 litres. Approx how must gas should I expect it to use? I have a 9kg gas bottle, is this likely to run the fridge for a week??

I've got an old chestcold fridge, and we used to get about a week off of a 1.25kg bottle only running from about 4pm to 10 am (then the fridge would go in the car). The fridge isn't as good as a newer compressor fridge, but it was good for sitting in the one spot for a week or so.

I would imagine you would get at least 2 weeks out of a 9kg bottle. it would depend on the ambient temp and how efficent the fridge is.

Thanks for the replies,
Looks like I won't have any troubles running out of gas.
I already have a 12v fridge which is fine if you are doing enough driving to keep the aux battery charged. The idea is, on camping trips the 12v will stay in the back of the car & the gas fridge will remain at camp. I have had a bit more time to look at it, on the front it says Primus Snowline & on the back it says Chestcold CF40. Looks a bit knocked around but seems to work ok. I paid $200 for the fridge plus a 10ft x 12ft Jackaroo tent so I am not complaining. Kids are "camping" in the front yard for the holidays.
