Is there any way via the Search Options to find a thread you posted on in the past using your Screen Name - one where you were not the OP?

I've been looking for a detailed response I posted a while ago, however using generic search terms about the post in the Search Options turns up far too many responses in no particular date order - too painful to wade through the chaff in the hope of finding it... the subject matter is too broad to filter it down.....

Scott,

Google does a fair search job in EO if you use the right terms.
Search via Google using your the terms "exploroz, your exact EO name and a thread keyword" such as follows:.... exploroz Member - Scott M (NSW) tyres...... as an example.

It may work for you.
Cheers

Scott you can do a search on your member name and it will bring up all the threads that you have either initiated or commented on. Look in the top LH corner of the forum page to find it.

Cheers,

Val.

Doesn't that only bring up threads you have initiated Val, not threads you you commented on?

You are correct MH - when I checked it out I saw a lot of "comment" threads but on closer inspection they are comments we have made on blogs, not on forum threads which is a bit confusing. Sorry Scott!

Cheers,

Val.

Hi Val, I am used to using the search on the caravaners forum, which is brilliant with so many options to add to a search, and even better, the ability to search within a search to fine it down through several layers. The EO search is very basic and not effective in finding former information. We used to be able to specify a date range, but can't even do that now.

Motherhen, thanks - glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks the search options are a bit "primative" .... I'm a member of other forums that have a lot better ways of narrowing searches.
