Oziexplorer. Changing a names file to a waypoint file

Does anyone know how to change a names file to a waypoint file in Ozie explorer.

Hi

Using Ozi PC version -

One way (probably easiest but maybe not best)

With the Name file open in Ozi Click on "Plot Name Location as points on the Map" Icon

Plot Names as Points

All the points will be plotted on the map.

Then select "Save Points to File -> Save Points to Waypoint File"

Save Points

Keep in mind there maybe limits on the number of points and waypoints you can load. This method also loses everything except point name. If you need other attributes (ie feature code) open the names file as dbf in excel and save as csv file - this can then be imported into Ozi (after changing a few fields to match import format) with name and description field for other info.
