arrabury to haddons corner on to Birdsville, road open?

Hi, I'm planing on traveling Arrabury to Haddons corner on to Birdsville. I was told by a chap the road may be shut due to Minning/Gas. Can anyone tell me if the road is in fact open? Cheers
