Just wanting to know if there is any water in the
Menindee lakes as I am heading up that way next week and if there is much water in the darling .if not I will leave the boat behind

HiMazzy1 ,If you go to the website mdba.gov.au it will give you the up to date river levels and flows ,it looks like nothing down the bottom end yet ,and nothing in
Menindee lakes . We hope to be up there next month so hopefully something down by then .

there is very little water in the lake system
we the people in
Broken Hill are on stage 1 water restrictions and if the lakes do not flood in the next 2 months we will be on stage two
things are looking grim
But it is still worth a look see just bring warm cloths and bedding we have had frost for the past week
Broken Hill depends on the lakes system for water

there is little chance of a major rain event for some time soon according to the experts ie water restriction s in the middle of winter

I heard a couple of days ago that water will be released from the
Menindee Lakes into the Darling because the Darling is very dry
