After a few stressful moments with "The Boss" we have decided to do a trip from, The capital of F.N.Q.(
Cairns) via any country roads to
Alice Springs and the Big
Red Rock and obviously
home again.
Hopefully we will go via Charters Towers,
Richmond,the Blue Healer,
Winton,Diamanttina Lakes and then>>>>>>>.Until East and West Macdonalds, Alice,
The Rock,The old rail line from Oonadattna and any where else we should not miss. Time is ours.
We would appreciate any input to the
places we should not miss.

Lizard. Watch the Daimantina lakes. If you go across from
Winton-> Daimatina lakes to then >>>>(
Birdsville) the distances are larger that our fuel tank and we had to buy diese(3 years ago, at $1-50 a liter to keep going. But the 3000 pelicans on the
Diamantina lakes was all wothwhile.
have a look at the area around the Mim Mim lights - Spectacular "Mirages".!!! Guy
