Hello,
I was looking for some information about a trip
to Cape York.I'm un italian tourist,I'll be in Australia in two weeks.
I know the best it would be a 4WD but I can't allow it.My plan is to
buy a small motorbike.Do you think it is feasible?
Two years ago I spent 6 months travelling around Australia
by car(only sealed road).While I was there I bought a map
and a guide:"Cape York an'adventurer's guide"by Ron & Viv Moon.It was
printed in 1999 so it's not really updated but I think is still a good
book.I'd like to know everything useful and particularly the hardest
part of the trip.I have plenty of time. One more thing.Do you know un
office,a shop,etc.. in Bisbane where I can get some maps and
information about the Queensland outback?
Thanks

Regards
Giuliano

Hi Giuliano there are many ways you can go to the Cape by bike including renting a bike and riding with an organised tour. Call me if you would like to know more. Rob Berrill www.4wdtraining.com 4wdtraining@cairns.net.au

Giuliano - The previuous posting from the Carins motobike poster is excellent- We met many tourists ridding in small group of 5 to 10 on/from Cape york. The information and the security and knowledge you'll get from this Cairns tour is excllent and worth all the money. These people from Cairns will show you SAFELY what the real wildnerness is. Do NOT go on motor bike alone in the bush, you'll get lost, break down and call for your mummy or the SES. Guy
