G'day all,

I'm after a cheap supplier for a car kit for my mobile. Anyone have any good sources? cheapest I have found thus far is phoneshop.com.au. Phone is a Nokia 7250i.

cheers,
Sam.

We use mobileone for our gear, get the 'aftermarket kit' instead of the 'genuine' nokia job. made by same mob but the aftermarket kit has the option of changing the cradles as you update the phone for a small cost. cheers

Not sure if you're model has this feature - but...

Most of the new Nokia's have a built in speaker phone which works really well - so if that's all you're looking for in a hands free kit - just use that!

However if you need an external aerial - you'll need a kit....

Myfourby,

it does have the speaker phone feature, but I want a cradle to hold it in a safer position for when i am driving. Also, given the amount of noise inside the old hilux I need something to get the phone/audio as close to me as possible and I also want the ability to mute the radio/CD. Therefore I am willing to pay for a car kit.

Also, having the ability to just plug in another cradle for someone elses or a future phone would be a nice advantage.

But primarily its for safety and convenience that I want one.

cheers,
Sam.

thanks for the suggestion Nick

just managed to pick up a kit. Not as much of a saving as you managed, but still cheaper than retail

cheers,
Sam.
