Heading for Kunnanurra in a fortnights time we would like to travel to
Wyndham by
Ivanhoe crossing and the old road but I see that the crossing is still closed is there any update? We intend to be in the vicinity about July 17 Regards Ken.

my info is it will be closed for awhile yet maybe all year. You can still go by old road by turning of on Wyndam road a few ks past diversion
dam.

The
Ivanhoe crossing may still be closed by the time you get here. A group of locals have just completed a car rally following the route you intend to take. The alternate road to the crossing itself is actually more scenic, taking in Valentine Springs, Middle Springs and Black
Rock before the Ivanhoe
junction, before carrying on toward Parry Lagoons and following the old stock route along the Ord and beneath the Bastion to enter
Wyndham from the north.
