G'day all,
I am planning to put some Cooper S/T's on a new LC100 (GXL T/D). The place I planned to get them from suggested Dick Cepek FC2's instead - Hadn't heard of them before, they are made by Mickey Thompson.
His reasons were thicker tread (16mm instead of 14mm on the S/T's) and better side wall protection. Same price.
Has anyone had any experience with Dick Cepek tyres?
BTW I have been told the larger diameter (285/75/16's) should put the speedo right which is normally showing faster than actual speed. (I have seen the posts on this topic involving the maths - just wondered if anyone had proven this particular issue on a LC100 in practice)
