Hi ALL, Here's some trivia for ya, the gold Mack dog is only put on Mack trucks with full Mack running gear, the silver dog goes on the other Mack trucks with Cat motors Road Ranger boxes etc.etc.in them.

Not trying to rain on the parade but make sure you look at the legalities with such things as protruding hood ornaments and also the attractiveness to the light-fingered brigade / vandals.

Why is it so hard to have nice stuff these days???????

I agree with the legal and ethical reasons against putting them on a lower bonnented vehicles. If you hit a pedestrian they can take a limb off and that is why new cars no longer have them.
Maybe you could blutak a fluffy poodle toy on the dash as a consolation.
As far as I know they come from the local Mack dealer but you often see them in trader mags for a few hundred, gold ones cost heaps more

Next time you see a roller go up and give the silver lady a good pull and it will come off.Its designed like this so when a pedestrian hits it you get less tomato sauce on the windscreen. Mercedes now have their emblem fixed flat to the bonnet.

I think you will find that on the latest Rolls the Lady is electrically powered and gracefully ascends from a concealed housing when the motor starts.

I don't know about the Mack Truck Dog but I have a blue Thomas the Tank Engine on the bonnet of me old Ford Mav -it's plastic and nobody's ever lifted it - YET!!

Every man & his dog got a Mack Dog. How many have got "Thomas the Tank Engine" - be an individual, I say!!

Glue yer budgie to yer bullbar- make a fashion statement!

Weld the cat to yer roofrack, after stickin' it's paw in the light socket to get a "windswept" look!

Use yer kid's tortoise as winch cable drum cover - be different from the pack!

Bluetack hamsters onto yer wiper blades - for those frosty nights!

I just love Thomas - not keen on the Fat Controller though ;) AKA - Eric Ripper.

Hmm... Must be getting late at the Billabong!

Can't wait to see the Bilbomobile go past with a menagerie tacked onto it!

Cheers
