Went to Wingan Inlet last September. Spectacular scenery &
great camp area with fresh water on tap & firewood provided. Highly recomended.

Our club went there long weekend just gone, there were reports of lots of it being closed to everything but hikers now...
Good luck!

The must do is to take the surf rod and catch some salmon/tailor/gummy
sharks off the beach there. A real hot spot this time last year when i was there.

Shipwreck Creek is a top spot. the walk to the Seal Creek is worth it.
Limited camping though (about 10 sites from memory) , and not Campertrailer country.

Went there in Feb - stayed at
Mallacoota - went to Shipwreck Ck, etc. Not over keen on some of the wildlife eg snakes (red belly blacks?) at Tamboon!

Mueller Inlet/Thurra R/Pt Hicks is a wonderful area too. You need to reserve a
camp site at popular times.
Download the Parks Vic brochures from Parks Vic web site. Select
Croajingolong from the list of parks, then see the list of park notes and other publications at the end of the page.
Have a look at Cape Conran CP as
well. Lovely
camping area there too.
There are still a number of 4WD tracks in the area. See:
- Murray White, "Off the beaten track"
- Ron Moon, "Bush Tracks of Vic"
- Ron Camier, "4WDing Gippsland"
Some tracks are subject to seasonal closure Jun to Nov.
Also Grant Da Costa's book on Touring East Gippsland.
