G'day all
Can anybody reccomend a good 4x4 service centre in the Oakleigh area of
Melbourne For my GU Patrol. Ive always used dealer service centres but after putting my falcon into Ford to get a roadworthy today I have had a gutfull. When questioned on a couple of stupid items with a large $ figure the dealer backed down so I paid the $90 RWC charge and left in a big hurry.( Gone elsewhere to get a roady) Most vehicle dealers that I have dealt with in the past seem to think that everyone runs a multi million $ business and charge like the proverbial. I'm finally heading off in a couple of weeks, for a year or two around OZ and would like to stay
well clear of Nissan dealers if possible and use a good reputable 4x4 mechanic to do a final
check and preparations for a hopefully trouble free trip.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Smod

Not quite Oakleigh but ARB Northern (Thomastown) are pretty good.

Hi there Smod . Clayleigh motors off Center Rd are great Mechanics , or even better are Mobil car care in Prahran ,
For Clayleigh , ask for Con
For Mobil car care Prahran ask for Tony or Frank
Tell them Eric Christopher put you onto them
Third Choise is Braketech . Ask for Chris
In my order of choise , its Mobil as Tony and his boys are into the 4x4 seen
2nd would be Clayleigh and third Braketeck
