GQ-GU long range tanks

Hi every one,
I am looking at buying along range tank (as main) for my 90 model GQ diesel I can get hold of one from a GU does any one know if they are the same or not.

I had a GQ with a long range tank (4WD Systems) and found that it didnt fit into the GU. I was told that the GU tank fitted into the GQ. This has something to do with the redesigned floor in the rear of the GU. The GU tank is curved more at the rear to allow it to go around a detent in the floor.
This applies to 4WD systems tanks. I dont know about the other brands. If I had known this then I would have bought the GU one instead of the GQ one and would have been able to transfer it to the new car. Instead, I sold it with the GQ!
