Afternoon all,
Am after an illuminated On-Off-On switch. Narva and Hella have On-Off-On switches but dont seem to have ones that are illuminated. Anyone know of any other suppliers? Worse comes to worse I can settle for a non-illuminated one.
cheers,
Sam.

Sam,
Can't help you with a proper illuminated one. However, if you like I have a lot of D**k S***h on/off/on switches. A number of these have 2 sets of contacts (ie: 6 posts altogether...I know them as "DPDT" or Double Pole Double Throw types). You could use one of these and actually use the spare set of 3 contacts to illuminate a couple of LEDs or globes which would act as indicators for what you want. Just let me know via Member Message if you want to give me your addy and I'll post one to you.
Cheers,
Roachie

Thanks Roachie, I might just take you up on that offer. Just gonna wait and see what kind of feed back I get first.
cheers
Sam.

I should have also stated that I am after rocker switches and not toggle or any other type.

Sam,
The other thing you could do is
check with a decent auto sparky, they have all sorts of suppliers cataldogs with various switches etc.
The ones I have are toggles....but the offer still stands. The terminals at the back need to be soldered, not for spade fittings.
Cheers,
Roachie

I'm not sure if one is allowed to mention specific suppliers on this
forum, but you could try Altronics in
Perth. My son works for 'em and they supply all sorts of electronic gear including switches. I have a catalogue at
home, but presently I'm at work - ooops ;)
Altronics are specialists in mail order and are a major Australia wide organisation. I get heaps of stuff from 'em. From solar panel regulators to speaker bits.
Try 'em. They do have a website.

The 12volt
shop here in
Perth has mountains of switchs, they also supply the same switches that ARB use for their lockers and compressors, that's what I have got for my Compressor, when the guy from opposite lock was putting my
snorkel in the other day he wanted to know if my locker was in the front or the back. I said "what locker?". It's a standard rocker size that will fit in your jap dash board rectangle blank plates and has a red light on it. They look great. A little dear though, but when it comes to the dash of my car, it's all or nothing! ;-)

Is there a manufacturer or brand name on those ARB type switches? Would like to find some in QLD.

Sam,
Narva make about 10 different sorts of illuminated rocker switches. I bought
mine from Autobarn in
Melbourne who had a full display. Repco also keep them. Cost me $3-50 for an led switch.

Sorry Sam but i don't know anywhere else that stocks their stuff, and i haven't used this company myself, I was told about it a fair while ago by someone else when I was searching for something else, but they didnt have what I was looking for. Let me know how you go if you order it, and I had another look before they have quite a few choices that look a bit different to the one i gave you the part number for.
