Hi All,

Thinking about getting one of these. They look good on the spec sheets and being waterproofed has to be a good thing. Any feedback would be appreciated.

There was another thread on these a few weeks ago, or could have been outerlimits4x4.com

try the archives. They get a good rap for the bucks.

Personal preference Second hand 10k warn, at $1000.. but then the Brawn is new and has warranty IF needed..

YMMV

Yeh I had a look in the archive after I posted actually and found a few good reports. I just dont like the weight of the 10000lb warn hanging off the front hence the 9500lb Brawn I thought may be a better option. And for a few more bucks and you have a new winch with warranty.

Leroy,

I am happy with mine. It works well. Can't say much about whether it is water proof or not....it hasn't rained here for a looooong while. Cost me $1290 new from the supplier in Melbourne at the beginning of 2003.

Cheers

Hey Willem,

It is raining here in Adelaide. Looked at the Radar on the bom site and it seems to be going as far as Burra and is moving your way. It just might be that you may get a few drops!

Always a chance.....

Steven,

Just been outside and could smell the rain but no drops as yet. We definitely need some as we have only had 12mm since New Year. Been a bit of wind this arvo and lots of dust.

Cheers
