It's pouring outside. I lost three young heiffers.... died stuck in mud beside the dam last week................... I can feel the grass growing! Gippsland is wet again.

I can tell ya around heyfield was that dry, that if you cried, as your tears hit the ground trees were shooting up....

We went to Huggetts crossin, there wasnt a sign of Damp under rocks, let alone where it flowed...

I think its gonna take rain like this for 12 mths to get the Thompson back to full...

The rain last night missed us - we have had 5mm in about 6 weeks - tanks are getting low - another 2 weeks and I will have to buy water which I haven't had to do for 5 years !

I '96 I bought to MG cows, joined - the paddocks (on 10 acres) were covered in lush green grass. The next year, '97 it was very dry and I had to sell the 4 animals for less than I paid for one. Since '97 the block has not been green once - thats 7 dry years !!

Half your luck!! We have had only 2mm of rain since early March 2003. Cattle stations around here (Oodnadatta) are trucking stock out.
Those who say something cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it.
