I got an older Mitsubishi, Carby, Van, recently I gave it a bit of stick thru a soft sand trail. A couple of times after that bit of work it kept idling after I turned off the ignition. That stopped, but now when I get out of the vehicle I notice a strong petrol smell, perhaps a hint of oil.
I am wondering what needs looking at?, I am about to pull out the plugs to see if oily but beyond that I don't really know what might need attention.
Many thanks in advance.

Hi Wizzard
Had a suzki once, similar thing happened turned out that the fuel pump diaphram had a hole in it and started to fill the tank with sump oil . Might be worth a quick
check. I,m not sure what sort of fuel pump Mitsub's have.

I had a Sigma do the same thing. the fuel pump on that was bolted on the side of the head and ran off the cam. Might be a place to look anyway.
