troopy fuel filter part

I bought a secondary fuel filter for the troopy and in the kit was a small rubber o ring about 4 or 5 mm diameter . where does this o ring go . refer to diagram.

Think that little o-ring is a throw back to earlier models that had a bleed screw on top of the filter case. Same filter is/was even used in toyota trucks.

I might be being pedantic, but I call that one the primary filter, because it filters the fuel first.

Thanks bob . I mean the element replaceable one that is closest to the air filter . Not the one with the little pump on top . Am i confusing myself .

Managed to change both filters ok . took about an hour .

G'day Glenno
Mate I purchased a troopy back in sept last year It also has a second fuel filter. Tell me, is the 1st filter (not the one with the pump on top) the same type as the other one, or are they different to each other??

Jeff its a replacement cartridge type . cost me $7 . I found the easiest way to replace it is to undo the two bolts on top then tip it upside down ,then you can get at the bolt on the bottom of the unit(14mm ring spanner). also easier to replace the large rubber washer that sits under the top of unit.

1 air filter.
10 lts of gtx diesel oil.
cost me $97.92
