Hi All, have been reading the forums for a couple of months now and took the plunge to join. Not am member yet but probably will. I have an 88 model HJ61 which is the love of my social life. Married with three kids. I get out and about in the
Winton area as often as the minister for war and finance lets me. We run
the pool in town so if anyone is coming through this season and is looking for a bit of local knowledge please don't be shy. Look forward to getting to know you all. Will post photos of rig when I get digital gear
Cheers

Gee we was up there too not long ago - loved the place. Came in from the bush and had a wash and shower and then sat outside and had dinner at the Tatts pub. Loved
Lark Quarry and Matilda Centre and all the dinosaur stuff - didn't make it to
the pool though - could have used my Exploroz discount card there too - right??

Hi Andrew and Jen always willing to help with advise and discounts bearing in mind entry fee is only $1.00 so may not save you heaps. Will put the kettle on for all exploreOz card holders though and will bung in a free shower. Tatts is definately the place for an excellent cheap feed

Hmmmm -
well even if you give us 5% off, I reckon that the five cents that we save will not make it worth our while to come back in a hurry. Coffee sounds tempting though - we had a fantastic holiday meeting heaps of Exploroz folk and would have loved to have called in.

what i meant to say was you can take your pictures and when you get them developed ask to get them put onto cd as
well 1 copy and cd about $15.00 with kodak thru chemist then you can pick a photo and transfer over you dont need a digital camera but you can hide this post if you are trying to get money out of your minister for finance lol

Steve,
Your quote used to be on the wall at the long defunct Frewena Roadhouse, on the
Barkly Highway.
Also had another one there too: "In case of Fire, lift flap." When a gullible soul would lift the flap, they would be met with the words: "Not now, Stupid, in case of fire!"
Had some good times at that old place, met it's demise in the name of progress, I think.
Hooroo...

Cape York and will stop in. Haven't checked the map to see if it's on the way yet though).

60 Series are the last of the real 4WD mate everyone knows that (after I have converted them anyway lol). From South to North no matter where you go on a trip like that anywhere is fairly close. I'm a bit of a redcneck with all the stickers and lights and stuff attached to the Cruiser (always in all in good fun though) my bonnet protector reads "goin' there doin' that" seems pretty appropriate. I'm along way behind there 8 ball for some of you guys who have "been there done that".

Welcome Cruiser88 Glad to have you aboard. Dont take to much notice of Roachies gabbling on what he is trying to say is he is jelous and the only reason he wants to call on you is to eyeball your rig because he is a closet supporter LOLOL
Join up mate and post your rig

Cloncurry through
Winton in 2001 and didnt have much time but will be back up to have a look around sometime. Am near
