Just spoken to our resident copper Paul Keightly and the news is all the roads in and out of Birdsville will be open today.

The road north will be open shortly.

The Birdsville Track is open with caution.

The Windorah road has not been closed.

So don't put off your travels!

Alas, no Bob. We've been advertising with Dave & Michelle since the beginning. Check out their trek notes on the area. We've had alot of fun around BV. I would very very much like to talk to Ruth though.....

If you want to find out more about us our business is listed on this site.
Check out our website. Dave & Michelle did a super job building it and Wolfgang (Birdsville's resident artist) keeps producing the most stunning watercolours of the Simpson Desert and Channel Country, it's hard to keep up sometimes!!!

Please, do drop in next time you're in town. The nights are unforgettable
in the Caravanserai Courtyard. Open fire every night, with a bit of live music, fire spinning & star gazing through our largish telescope.

Must also heap some praise here. We bought one of Wolfgangs prints from the Caravanseri Cafe and it hangs proudly in our dining room. Also the place is well worth a visit for their great coffee, cakes and friendliness. Keep up the good work Karsten.

Happy trails, Mike.
