The correct spelling is
BLENCOE falls. They can be accessed from either Kennedy (just north of
Cardwell) or Mt Garnet.
Have a look at:
http://www.wettropics.gov.au/ttd/ttd_blencoe_parks.asp
Nice place to visit.
If you type "blencoe" or "blenco" or "blanco" into your australian search engine you will find other information on the area. Was used in the filming of the "Survivor 2" TV series.

thanks everyone
Will be doing the trek through there in about 3 weeks. I've been to
Wallaman falls thought they were great , so I should be really impressed with Blenco falls Something to look forward to.

Blencoe is the correct name. Yes there is some
bush camping in the area, but it can get crowded. Very spectacular falls. Worth seeing. Should be marked on the map you should have if you plan to travel out that way.

Can you swim there or is it like
Wallaman Falls you really should not?
Is there much of a strenuous walk Do you have to be super fit?

Sorry mate I don't know the answers to those. Ours was a bit of a flying visit and it was too cold to think about swimming at the time. There are a few good
lookout spots to see them from that are easy to get to. Don't know if you can get to the bottom.

I thought the falls were closer to
cardwell than mt garnet.
Very spectacular drive up the range - turn left at the Kennedy Store just north of
Cardwell (there is a big sign).
Gunawarra Rd will get you there from the Mt Garnet end.
There are no facilities and the limited camping space is often taken, but the place is
well worth a visit, much nicer than
Wallaman falls near
Ingham (tallest single drop falls in Aust).

Had to laugh when I saw the Survivor series on TV...My wife and I camped at
Blencoe Falls a few years ago as part of our honeymoon. Then we saw how the place was hyped up on Survivor. Yeah, they were located further along the waterway but the basic setting was the same.
