Willem arrived safely late this afternoon with only a few small adventures on the way. Can tell you that Bdv is 47metres above sea level. Will measure Big Red on Sunday.
Message for Des Lexic: Willem said he did exactly what you said.
Message from Ruth: What exactly was that?

Have you tasted them Maaaaaaaaa.

He gave me a whole large tin full of them - one of those powdered milk tins - full of yummy almonds. I am now just hoping that they weren't originally scorched almonds and I know that he has been having some dental problems........ ;-))))

Ruthy, I only asked him to pass on one thing. Any more and he's being greedy. LOL
Just returned from a couple of days in the Big Smoke How boring. Although I found one pleasant surprise. Bundy and Coke on tap. A bit light on Bundy though.

Steve oh Steve,

Sure some things can be sent via Members Message, but the group of people above are all friends who have met due to Exploroz. I too know these people very well, and they are a great bunch.

As has been said many times on other posts, why waste your time making such rude remarks if you have no interest in them - just move onto the next post and don't be so insulting.

yes Steve, what Glenn said. This is a forum for people to catch up as well as share 4WD and caravanning info. Theres no need to bag em, just move along to the next campsite and have a nice time there.

Hi Ruth,

Please pass on my regards to Willem, I am glad he made it safely. Sad that it appears the Orange Beast is starting to fall apart.

Don't spoil Willem too much, but then again, the hospitality you show him, I expect to him to show me when I see Willem again in July.

Have fun and don't hit the muscat too hard.

Cheers

Willem is indisposed in the back of Rosie at the moment.
I have Willem's nuts in a nice salad bowl on the table and his Prickly Pear in the fridge - ready for tonight.
Menu: Yabbie entree, Corned Silverside with Caper Sauce and all the Vegies and Ice Cream, Baked Custard and you know what sauce. Then, Liquer Muscat. This will be around the gidyea campfire. I am truly sorry you aren't all here to share with us and we would love you to be.
As for Big Red - we will have to take the TOYOTA out there to measure it and I will have to do the climbing to the top due to Willem's indisposition of the left knee. We will do three measurement's though. The second one will be where Pesty and Andrew parked their vehicles - to stop other people coming up the western side.
We have to do workl now - me in my job and Willem on poor Rosie - there was smoke yesterday coming from under the bonnet! Talk later.

Willem has had a busy morning - last seen - underneath, tightening his nuts. Now Rosie has disappeared and he did not report his whereabouts - hope I don't have to go rescue him in the Toyota this afternoon. Willem thinks we spend all day sitting around drinking copious cups of coffee and having catch up chit chat with all and sundry, which is about all that has happened so far today. Been nice.
Menu for tonight has changed - as someone is allergic to eggs. Haven't put the yabbie pots in, going to do that now - got to nick some of the cat meat. Willem had to manufacture something black and looks like bits of pipes for poor Rosie - his big disaster with no light and the smoke is not as bad as first thought - he was in the middle of Sturt's Stony Desert when he hit a washout and things went skewwhiff and the smoke started to come out - no lights and no starter. But it's alright now.
If you ears have been burning it 's because I have been helping him with his mechanical problems - in that whilst he works I've been asking questions and trying to appear intelligent - I don't want to put Willem off by being a complete kook - (don't Andrew or Pesty say anything here or I'll cook your goose with my mate Willem). Willem brought me lots of gifts - newspapers, 4 x 4 magazines, nuts, juice - but best of all we haven't had time to stop talking yet. (Do you think he went for a drive to get away from me - LOL).

Ruthy, was the smoke coming from Rosey or from Willie. I would have thought the latter. I've been cracking a few of Willies nuts too today. Some were soft and some were hard.

I noticed that when I met Ruth that she really reminded me of Willem and I knew that they would get along like a house on fire. There could be some deep dark genetic link in the past coz there are so many things in common
