Get yourself a back order copy of the tests on utes they did not long ago, it will have all your answers..

get an ARB catalog from ARB to see prices on accessories.

If you buy parts from the dealer you will pay dearly.eg 1x Toyota aircon fast idle vacuum for 1HZ price $335 .The identical part from my local store $70.Non original part $45.
A used door for a 75/78 series runs into $500 and up to a $1000 for a really good one.
Of course a good 78 series will not need many parts for a long time.
My 73 series is 16 yo and has done 250000 and apart from the sagging door hinges everything else still feels newish. Up until a few moths ago it was still running the original leads and distibutor cap.(which made a big diffence although it was still running smoothly)

thanks for your words of wisdom. Ross the 78 is quite expensive compared to the patrol. Is it worth forking out in your opinion.
