John
I have it on very good authority that Willem is now the proud owner of a nice shiney almost new piece of very sophisticated equipment.
Who said a leopard can't change his spots.
Our Willem is certainly a man of the modern era.
No it's not a Troopy.

Satphone...almost new, from a fellow forumite.....now all I have to do is to read the instruction book. AND I bought a small digi camera nwhich I am learning to drive.
I am way ahead of some of you blokes with toys........probably in the 22nd Century.
Unfortunately I am still in the 18th Century with my 4by :-(((((((((((

Hi Willem
I'm glad you got the phone & if you never need to use it ( for an emergency) it will be well worth it, I dont think you will go wrong with the digi camera as you will save in film & developement cost.
Cheers

Geez Bob...you are a happy person are'nt you? Why would you want to print your own when you can have your whole database of pics on your HD?

I print a few A4 size every now and then to stick on the wall in the study, non glossy heavy duty paper is not expensive and the $80 printers are very capable these days. I got a years warranty on the printer, if it breaks down after that I'll just buy another.

They are all on the HD + on CD. Only print A4 enlargements or the ones Lex wants to print to sell or give away

To all digital camera owners.....
It does get expensive to print them yourself... and although you can keep them all on your HD, there are those pics that need to be on display or in a album. My better half "discovered" the Big W website. We downloaded their software, choose the pics we want from our camera or HD, email them to Big W, pic 'em up 4 days later at a cost of 45 cents per 6X4" print!!!!!!!! Brilliant!! They do enlargements also, can't remember the pricing, but reasonable still. The quality is good as well.
Check it out here and follow the link to "Photographics"
Happy snapping!!!

Brian, I couldn't agree more. I found the Big W site about 6 months ago and found they are great. Without mentioning names, I tried the same sort of deal with one of the leaders in photographics and was bitterly disappointed. Big W is about half the price and much better quality.

It'd be a long drive to pic up the pics :)
I did see some other company (maybe the one Grant's refering to) advertising for 50 cents a print (plus $5.50 for postage which make it less viable).
My wife has to has a very good quality inkjet for her business, so we just print our own - not as cheap, but more convenient.
The kodak paper certainly gives good results - tried some other brands and keep going back to kodak.
