I replied to Post number 12665 but thought maybe I should copy it to here for everyone to see

To all digital camera owners.....
It does get expensive to print them yourself... and although you can keep them all on your HD, there are those pics that need to be on display or in a album. My better half "discovered" the Big W website. We downloaded their software, choose the pics we want from our camera or HD, email them to Big W, pic 'em up 4 days later at a cost of 45 cents per 6X4" print!!!!!!!! Brilliant!! They do enlargements also, can't remember the pricing, but reasonable still. The quality is good as well.
Check it out here and follow the link to "Photographics"
Happy snapping!!!

Thanks Brian....now all I need is for Big W to come and set up here in Peterborough as driving 250km to the nearest one to collect the prints is a bit much.........:-))))

Willem,
There are people who you can E-Mail photo's to and they will send in post, takes about one week. Only problem for you may be same as me, on dial-up, E-Mailing a 5.1 megapixel file takes about 25 minutes, we are talking big numbers to empty the memory stick (110 photo's)

Thanks mate, I will use the info and the service.
It looks like it could be a winner even though I just bought a new printer.
That's about the cost of printing them myself on top quality photo paper.
Cheers

do you use 6x4 photo paper when you do your prints? if so, change to A4 paper and buy a guillotine. 20 sheets of A4 is close to the the same price as 20 sheets of 6x4,it works out a hell of a lot cheaper that way.

I use heavy weight gloss A4 paper already.
It's about $19 for 15 sheets... that's about 32c per photo just for the paper and then I use top quality pigment ink (waterproof and will last over 70 years as a photo) which adds about 10c or so.
Then if you muck it up ....... and have another try.
It all adds up.
Then there's always cheaper photo paper and ink isn't there.
Horses for courses
Cheers
