My wife and I are off to the
Kimberley in Aug - Sept this year. Our jump off point is the Alice where we are going to link up with some other people.
However we need to get from
Newcastle to the Alice in around 5-6 days. We are looking for any ideas as to a good interesting route to the Alice from
Newcastle.
So if you have any ideas (and they are all welcome) please let me know.
Cheers and Thanks

Having just done that trip and I am from
Newcastle you can reach
Alice Springs
in 6 days of easy driving. If you stick to the tar by going throughBroken
Hill,
Port Augusta, then up the Stuart Hwy.More interesting way is head up through
Hawker
then on to Maree up the
Oodnadatta track to
Marla back on the Stuart Hwy then up to Alice.Thats the way we went and still saw everthing with easy driving with a trailer and 3 kids.
Have a good trip
