Well here we are home again after nearly five weeks on the road.

The Rangie was a dream without a single problem - Ok the airconditioner vents rattled out on the corrugations and had to be cliped back in at least three times and the back window occasionally came open on the largets bumps but thats it.

The Toyo OPAT tyres did well - one puncture (repaired) at Arkaroola, and that was just bad luck.

Got some tracks for explore oz and will be working on a mgazine article re Arkaroola.

Hi Ruth and Ian...we loved Birdsville and wil definitely be back.

G'day David,

Welcome back home.

Isn't it funny how the 5 weeks leading up to a holiday seems like 5 months.......but at the end of the holiday that 5 weeks seems to have only lasted 5 days!!!

Oh well; time to start planning for the next adventure.

Very pleased to hear you are home safe and sound - so lovely meeting you. Having a campfire tonight. Best of luck with all the plans, J.

Ruth,
Ahhh the campfire. Say hi to Sully for us. We couldn't get to Diamantina Lakes as the roads are very boggy.

See you on out next adventure.

Roachie,

The preperation was 5 months LOL.
Yes we miss the road already. Seems like yesterday we left. But what we have seen has been precious. Anyone not been outback...go now!!!

At another campfire last night I told Sully you had sent a message - he replied thank you and glad you and J. got home safely. Some AJ's flew in a Kingair from Oakey yesterday and he had a yak to them about Sam Houston also.

Oh thanks Ruth. Not sure Justine has sorted her memory banks out yet, still trying to remember who Major Houston was (Sam's wife) she says she thinks she was the lovely woman with red hair! ..anyhow, she will work it out I am sure.
